Dr. Stephanie Hutchinson teaches voice and piano, coaches singers and accompanies choirs. She graduated magna cum laude from USC, where she earned her BM, MM and DMA degrees in Piano Performance. She also studied voice with distinguished USC professors.
Her specialty is working with adults and teens who are intermediate to advanced (voice and piano). She was named Top Pro 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2018, and 2017, as well as Best of 2016 and Best of 2015 by Thumbtack, where she has 85 5-star reviews.
Dr. Stephanie also specializes in audition preparation. High school seniors she has worked with have been accepted into their first choice schools, including UCLA, Columbia, Cal Arts, and Berklee School of Music. A 13-year old student who she coached (online) received a full 4-year Fine Arts scholarship to a prestigious private high school. He had never sung before their lessons. Dr. Stephanie also coached an actor who had never sung, preparing him to audition for five well-known grad schools. He received scholarship offers from four schools, and is now at Juilliard on scholarship.
Dr. Stephanie won First Prize in the National Mozart Festival Competition in Pueblo, Colorado. She toured the United States, Europe, Australia and Canada as Principal Accompanist with the renowned Los Angeles Children's Chorus.
She also served on staff at USC, Pepperdine, Glendale College and Santa Monica College, accompanying and teaching piano and voice.
She is the longtime accompanist of The Concert Singers in Westchester, CA, the oldest independent choral group in Los Angeles.
